Cape for Work

I'd like to find an "office-appropriate" cape or shawl. A lot of the ones I've seen just don't go with a smart skirt or trousers. I'd be wearing it over a cotton shirt or silky blouse. Have any of you seen just the thing? Flowers

I saw a nice wrap (not a cape, sort of rectangle at the back and the front bits that you can toss over your shoulder type) in Costco, Several patterns/colours but I liked the black/white and might have to go back for it

Do you mean to wear to work (i.e. like coat) or in office (instead of jacket)?

If the former, this looks very smart - I think there's a discount code knocking round at the moment:

Keely I was thinking of more swanning around inside than getting to the office, but that FC one is rather lovely!

Go and get the one you like 70!

Hmmmm, still think it's a bit outdoorsy (wool), although the camel is gorgeous...

Sorry to be awkward ??

YES YES YES Keeley

Which colour do you like?

I like all of them - but probably the dark red the most as more striking. Depends on your colouring though (I love wearing dark red as have dark eyes and hair so it "works")

srtajuanita · 07/10/2015 17:35

I'm pale, blue eyes, blonde. If that helps Flowers

Perhaps the cream/beige (if you think you could avoid dropping something on it - I'm a bit of a klutz)?

I've got this one for work. Seems to go with most things and is quite light. It's a cheapie one from littlewoods.

Nyan that looks very special - is it worth the ££? And how heavy?

Thanks

I think so but I got it at an introductory price of 150, still a lot more than I would usually pay for something like that. But the cut and fabric to me seemed like it would be something that you could wear year after year rather than just a one off. It's cut really nicely and the tweed is lovely. It's lightweight but surprisingly warm, if you wear the collar up it comes up nice and high so keeps the wind out. I've had loads of compliments from strangers any time I've worn it.

God that sounded like a sales pitch! I've no links to them just really like it
