Hot cloth cleansing....

I'm a recent convert to this, using the Superdrug one, but can you use any creamy cleanser, or do the 'hot cloth' ones have particular magical powers?

I've got the Superdrug one at the moment as I was broke last month but my favourite is the Liz Earle. It's much nicer imo, and worth spending the extra on.

LogonMounstuart · 06/10/2015 21:21

You can use any cream cleanser or balm I think. Liz Earle can be quite strong and strip your skin, I actually prefer the Superdrug one- well it's effect, doesn't spell as nice as Liz Earle

You can use any. It's the cloth action that does the magic.

I just use a flannel!

Nabootique · 07/10/2015 10:38

I use a flannel too. I'd say most cleansers could be removed in this way, and not that many actually say "hot cloth cleanser". Are you happy with the Superdrug one?

ZacharyQuack · 07/10/2015 11:38

You can use any cream cleanser, any form of cloth, and any temperature of water. Hot cloth cleansing = washing your face.

I use The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing balm it's my fave.

I've tried Emma Hardie, Liz Earle, Super drug and Lush Ultrabland and The body shop is my fave. Used with a flannel it's perfect. Smile

Love the body shop camomile but also the Organic Pharmacy Carrot butter is great.

Nabootique · 08/10/2015 16:44

Gene I made the decision today that I prefer TBS Butter over Emma Hardie. Melts easier, easier to get off, and I don't care what anyone else says, Emma Hardie does sting the bloody eyes.

I use the Soap and Glory Ultimelt one with a flannel. It smells lovely.

I agree though that most creamy cleansers could be used in this way.

Boots no 7 cleanser for Dry v Dry skin and wipe off with a flannel. Does the job.
