I'm about to get in the bath with a So White bath bomb. It smells of apples, rose and bergamot.

I've also picked up a Candy Mountain bubble bar and a Salt and Peppermint shower scrub.

I also really liked the smell of the Bah Humbug bubble bar and am annoyed at myself for not buying one!

Does anybody else have Lush favourites? Christmas or otherwise?
Oh, and are the shower jellies any good?

Hot Toddy isn't on sale this year! Savour your bottle!

The massage bars are nice if a little greasy. I like Therapy? best, not overly greasy and a lovely soothing scent.

scatterthenuns · 06/10/2015 22:10

I've just read a review that said Therapy? was one of the greasiest ones.

I use them at night, they are designed to be oily so you can massage with them. I find a fine layer of soft cour before bet sinks in over night and leaves me lovely and soft and smelling like crunchie bars on the morning.

CherylTunt · 07/10/2015 09:21

I looooooooove the massage bars. They make my skin incredibly soft and velvety. Been using them for years and have tried 'em all at some point, but always have a Soft Coeur on the go.

scatterthenuns · 07/10/2015 14:01

I'm going to go to the Oxford Street store again tonight after work to pick up a massage bar.

Any recommendations? I want the least greasy feeling possible, and also not to smell of food (chocolate, coffee etc. Fruit is fine though).

I love the scent of Snow Fairy but there must be something in it that doesn't agree with me, it makes me itch loads! Sad

annatha · 07/10/2015 15:33

scatter I was shown by one of the sales assistants to put a bit of dusting powder on after using a massage bar if you want to feel dry straight away. Not sure what scents they have right now (although if you're going to oxford st you'll have the best pick of them) but the Christmas one is lovely, think its called first snow.

scatterthenuns · 07/10/2015 21:28

Have just used Candy Mountain. Think I prefer bath bombs to bubble bars. This is such an education!

I prefer bathbombs too, especially the slow fizzing arty ones. Which have you tried so far? My favourites from the normal range are Fizzbanger and Twilight, they look beautiful while fizzing away.

scatterthenuns · 07/10/2015 21:57

I'm a complete Lush newbie! Prior to this week, I'd only used the gold eye makeup (which I thought was a bit steep at £15 at the time, but it has lasted years and is in perfect condition) and the Ultrabland cleanser which I didn't like at all.

In terms of bath bombs, so far this week I've tried So White and Twilight, with So White being my favourite.

My favourite bomb is intergalactic (grapefruit and peppermint) or honey bee (honey, vanilla and radoul mud).

But I prefer lusher skin and hair care to the bath stuff. Ultrabland, H'suan wen ha hair treatment, sacred truth face mask are staples in my house.

scatterthenuns · 07/10/2015 22:56

Which bath bomb makes the bath water look the coolest?

OP posts:
PorcupineNecktie · 07/10/2015 23:01

I love the bath bombs! Phoenix Rising is my favourite but apparently they're discontinuing it :(

scatter I think Intergalactic is my favourite for making the water look pretty!

Sallystyle · 07/10/2015 23:17

Ultrabland
Lemony Flutter- Hand cream
Handy Gurugu- Hand cream
Dream cream
Angels on bare skin

All lovely.

I like the pink play doh looking stuff you play with which double up as soap/bubbles

I love Lush. Yes, go into a shop and the smell is over powering, but individual items aren't.

WaggleBee · 07/10/2015 23:45

Ooh nice thread! I'm going to buy a few bits in store next week but not sure which yet.

HortonWho · 08/10/2015 00:51

They're dead to me. Bastards discontinued flying fox shower gel.

MoriartyIsMyAngel · 08/10/2015 01:14

I do love Cinders, and the white soap that smells like marzipan. Those are the two I always look for around Christmas. I would like to stock up at the Boxing Day sale but it hasn't been online the last couple of years and I don't fancy risking broken bones in the scrum in our tiny local store!

annatha · 08/10/2015 01:29

Frozen makes the water look lovely, as does fizzbanger, the experimenter and golden wonder. They're the ones that you're better to run the bath, get in and then pop the bathbomb in so you can appreciate the show!

LazySusan11 · 08/10/2015 07:39

How do you all store your bath bombs etc? I'm tempted to get a big kilner type jar but then the one I want would probably always be at the bottom and maybe the smells would merge?

Glitteryfrog · 08/10/2015 07:48

Yey! Snow fairy.
3 x 500ml bottles will see me through most of the year!

scatterthenuns · 08/10/2015 09:11

I've been keeping my bath bombs in the little individual Lush bags on a shelf in the bathroom.

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 08/10/2015 11:27

I've got one of the tube Lush sell for keeping them in (or at least they used to sell them). However it's not very attractive (recycled black plastic) and bigger bombs don't fit. We tend to only buy one each for the DCs and use them as soon as we've bought them though, DH and I hardly ever have baths and I much prefer Blue Skies bubble bar when I do have one.

WaggleBee · 08/10/2015 14:28

Last time I had loads, I put them in a big goldfish bowl type vase but kept them in their bags.

IWannaHoldYourHand · 08/10/2015 18:46

I popped in today for some Cranberry face mask, and fun. I discovered they do perfume, I tried 3 at different points of my body and I'm completely in love with 2 of them. I'm definitely picking one up next time I'm in town.
