What tights with burgundy shoes?

I've seen a pair of burgundy shoes I really like, and as I wear a lot of navy, I think they would look good, but does that mean I will be restricted to burgundy tights every time I wear them? And where can I get comfortable burgundy tights that aren't hideously expensive? I normally wear M&S velvet touch, but they only come in black.

Opaque tights only as I am plump, pale, and bruise easily,

I have oxblood brogues from clarks. i wear mine with thick black tights. They look fine.

You absolutely must not wear burgundy tights with burgundy shoes. You wear navy or violet. Or black if you're a bit safe.

I've tried this. I'm afraid wearing the same colour shoes and opaque tights (aside from black) made me feel like I was in an am-dram production of Robin Hood. However, if you're still keen to give them a go I think I got my burgundy pair from Tesco of all places.

This is why I don't wear navy, so hard to pick the right shoes!

Yesterday I wore burgundy ankle boots with navy tights (40 denier, 3 for £3, Primark). They looked fine.

I have worn them in the past with burgundy tights, which was also ok if a bit OTT.

If you're wearing navy, then navy tights. Burgundy shoes also go well with black tights, skin colour tights and lots of different shades of grey.

Oh, good. Navy and grey it is, and I'll save the brighter tights for different shoes.
