gel nails question - urgent! (I may be about to do something stupid)

Hi all,

I love gelish nails and have a home kit (sensationail), but I don't have a huge number of colours. Could I put on a bottom coat, cure, add a normal varnish, allow to dry, add a top coat and cure?

Starting with a base coat in the next few minutes, so every second counts Grin

Yes you can do that Smile

Carlywurly · 04/10/2015 20:26

That sounds like the kind of thing I'd do. There must be a reason you shouldn't but no idea what. Watching with interest.

MeganChips · 04/10/2015 20:27

Yes you can. It always takes me longer to remove when I do that though.

FellOutOfBedTwice · 04/10/2015 20:28

Yes, I do it all the time. Doesn't last quite as long but longer than normal varnish.

StatisticallyChallenged · 04/10/2015 20:31

Yes, just doesn't last as long but works fine.

MuttonCadet · 04/10/2015 20:32

Thank you very much, just starting off Smile

Yes, as pp said it doesn't last quite as long but is fine.
I had a 'gel' manicure at a nails Inc bar and that's what they did!

Mutton - did you know you can mix SensatioNail polishes together to get different shades?

I do that all the time to get new colours - just putdrops on foil and mix, then you can still get the instant dry Grin
