What to wear in Vegas !

Will be going to Vegas in a month and really don't know what clothes to take :( has anyone been, please and give me the low down on what to pack.

Will going to a couple of shows in the evening as well and I was wondering do people dress up (nice dress and heels) or just wear casual clothes? Any advice will be great, thanks :)

I made an effort to dress up every night (because I love it and would have felt wrong being in casual clothes in the evening, but we did go to some nice restaurants). It seemed like lots of other people did too - there was one memorable hour-long wait for a cab from one hotel back to ours at about 6pm, as everyone wanted to go back and get ready for the night. I didn't take any heels with me at all though.

I didn't get cold inside but did take 1 cardi just in case.

The main thing to take is lots of empty space in your suitcase for shopping have fun!
