Gibson tuck

Can anyone tell me the best way to achieve this hairstyle without it looking messy and falling out after an hour or so. Do I need to buy those special sausages from Claire's accessories? I have seen someone use a band that goes all the way around the head and the hair is tucked over and under.

I just put a couple of pins in and a bit of hairspray, but to really hold it I sometimes put a claw clip in vertically, sort of pulling a little bit in from each side. It's easier with shorter hair I think, slightly longer than shoulder length.

I just put a pin in and it stays.

Thank you all for your replies. I normally just use a band and hair clips but it never seems to look as good as in the link that Horrace posted. So no one uses any other accessories to produce a better looking tuck?
