Which do you prefer for using all the time?

OP posts:

Foundation.

It tends to last longer on my skin and I like the extra coverage it offers

IguanaTail · 03/10/2015 18:45

Tinted moisturiser.

applecatchers36 · 03/10/2015 18:50

Tinted moisturiser as prefer a more natural less made up look

Barbie1 · 03/10/2015 18:53

I should add I live in a very hot and humid climate so tinted moisturizers tend to 'slide' of my face...

AsYourMakerICommandYou · 03/10/2015 18:55

Mineral foundation - tinted moisturiser slides off my oil spill face

chanie44 · 03/10/2015 20:06

I prefer tinted moisturiser as I don't like to look heavily made up.

SilverNightFairy · 03/10/2015 20:09

Tinted moisteriser now that the weather is cooler.

NotTodaySatan · 03/10/2015 20:11

Foundation.

It's a misconception that foundation = heavily made up. If you know how to buy it and apply it anyway.

WhyDoesGastonBark · 03/10/2015 22:06

Foundation and as the above poster says if you wear the right colour and apply it right it looks flawless not heavy!
I do wear tinted moisturiser too an cc creams when my skin is dry or I am being lazy and slapdash

Blueturquoise · 03/10/2015 22:22

Summertime - tinted moisturiser and a dusting of powder/ bronzer
Winter - foundation.
Though nars foundation allows build
Up of coverage so I find it ideal.

I use Bobby Brown tinited moisturizer and their foundation stick for day time and Mac foundation for going out in the evening.

Anomite · 03/10/2015 22:32

Laura mercier tinted moisturiser- quite good coverage considering it's not a proper foundation and leaves a dewy glow.

I started wearing 50 sunblock recently and it felt too gloopy with tinted moisturiser on top. So now I have tinted sunblock, problem solved.

I've never used foundation.

SomeKindOfDeliciousBiscuit · 04/10/2015 23:42

A fellow parent at school runs a skin laser surgery and says anything above factor 30 is pointless as it doesn't go into the skin properly - stick with spf 30.
I don't know anything about it myself, but thought I'd share!

WhyDoesGastonBark · 05/10/2015 08:54

I read something once where they tested out factors and said the same about factor 3 0 actually

PunkrockerGirl · 05/10/2015 09:02

Foundation for me. The correct product applied well is far better on my skin, I find. I've tried tinted moisturizers but they always need re-applying by lunch time and I haven't got time can't be arsed for that.

MissShunImpossible · 05/10/2015 10:36

I use this and then don't worry about using foundation. It's not tinted, but it makes my skin look all lovely and smooth and even.

squoosh · 05/10/2015 10:39

Foundation.

Tinted moisturisers are too greasy for me.

AngieWhats · 05/10/2015 10:43

CC cream Grin.

I don't like tinted moisturisers. Not enough coverage, and they don't fit with the rest of my skincare routine (I use a moisturiser and sunscreen in the morning, so another moisturiser on top doesn't work well).

I've never found a foundation that is quite right. I've tried dozens of different brands and been 'shade-matched' at counters etc - nothing was great. I was using Chanel Vitalumiere for a while, and that was possibly the closest I came to something that suited my skin, but it still wasn't amazing.

CC cream gives me enough coverage, but isn't greasy/overly moisturising.

PurpleDaisies · 05/10/2015 10:48

Foundation-tinted moisturiser brings me out in spots. Ysl touché éclat foundation is really light and natural and feels less like wearing make up than tinted moisturiser.

In the summer I use Clinique city block which is tinted sun cream.

StrawberrytallCake · 05/10/2015 12:51

I love tinted moisturiser - any tips on where I can find a vid to learn how to apply foundation so it looks natural would be greatly appreciated though as mine always looks too fake and a bit like a plastic doll.

spankhurst · 05/10/2015 13:25

I agree with AngieWhats - tinted moisturiser doesn't fit in with the rest of my routine.

Properly applied foundation should look flawless: I'm using Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude which is incredible.

Whathaveilost · 05/10/2015 21:44

Strawberry do you apply your tinted moistuizer with a brush? I find that helps to reduce the 'fake' look.
