Dd is a fan of nude palettes, but finds the shimmery ones don't get used as much. (Me too, come to think of it) anyone seen one?

I'd be tempted to go somewhere like a Bobbi brown counter where you can choose your own shadows and have them put in a palette. All the ready put together ones I've seen have had shimmery ones.

Watching with interest to see if anyone else has seen some am matte ones.

LadyPenelope68 · 03/10/2015 12:11

Asda and Rimmel both have some great none shimmery nude colours, all cone separately though. Great value and great quality, highly recommend.

Urban Decay Naked Basics 1 & 2 are both lovely.
Stila Eyes are the Window to the Mind, or In the Know are all matte.
Too Faced Natural Matte
Tarte Tartelette (probably have to look on ebay)
Bobbi Brown matte shadows are fantastic, and Mac do some good mattes if you want to build a custom palette
Makeup Geek mattes are great quality and inexpensive, though you'll need a Z palette to store them in.

NotTodaySatan · 03/10/2015 12:18

Urban Decay Naked Basics are both great.

They also released two lovely warm brown single matte shadows this Summer. Riff and Beware.

Sonia Kashuk is a US brand. Their Eye on Neutral palette is the best neutral matte palettes I own. You can find it on Amazon and Ebay.

NotTodaySatan · 03/10/2015 12:20

Oh and cheaper options.

Sleek Au Natural palette has quite a few matte neutral shades. All the Sleek palettes I own (ten of) have 3-4 mattes. Always highly pigmented.

MsBojangles · 03/10/2015 13:12

Second the Sonia Kashuk palatte, I got mine on eBay for about £15, came from the US in perfect condition.

What's the budget? Revolution do a nice nude palette that is all matte for £4! It lasts very well, I love all of their eyeshadows.

If its something more expensive you are after, i'd buy single shadows from MAC or Urban Decay and make your own palette over time.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 03/10/2015 17:14

She's fancying the too faced chocolate set(even including the shimmers) that may be a big chunk of christmas.

I have the chocolate bar. It is very lovely!!

dementedma · 03/10/2015 17:38

Urban Decay Naked

LunchpackOfNotreDame · 03/10/2015 21:03

W7 both their nude palettes are brilliant

LazySusan11 · 03/10/2015 21:07

Kiko have matt nudes and they're not expensive

Carpaccio · 03/10/2015 21:21

Making your own palette is a great idea.

A lot of the companies will have palettes to put the eyeshadow pans in, but you can also get a Z palette to put them in. The Z palette is magnetic and you can just mix your own perfect palette across brands.

Inglot are affordable and I like the quality a lot, it is as good as Mac if not better. Their Freedom System is pretty good if you want to make a palette with their products.

ceeveebee · 03/10/2015 21:40

Maybelline nudes is nice, only couple shimmery, the rest fairly matte

Mua at super drug do a Matt nude palette I use it daily

SixtyFootDoll · 03/10/2015 21:51

www.feelunique.com/p/Loreal-Paris-Color-Riche-La-Palette-Nude This? A few shimmers but for the money not bad

WhyDoesGastonBark · 03/10/2015 22:01

The l'oreal one actually has quite a few shimmers - I have it and know its very glossy looking on!

I just got my chocolate bar out and only 5 shades are matte OP so maybe not for her?

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 03/10/2015 22:44

May have to look at MUA again- got the one that's a urban decay dupe. Oh inglot! Bought a bit of that in Poland, it's nice.
Gaston, I think it's the chicolate aspect that's attractive.

The Revolution ones are much better than the MUA ones. Barry M also do a good matte palette

williaminajetfighter · 03/10/2015 23:45

Laura Mercier eye artist palette is great. Lovely natural colours and a few very low key shimmers.

pdxs · 04/10/2015 00:37

that too faced palette looks like it has a great selection of colours for neutrel & more varied looks

Otherwise: urban decay naked basics is shimmer free, 6 shadows, £23. I also like naked 1 or naked 2 - they are £38 but you get 12 shadows, half matte, half with (mostly subtle) shimmer.... I prefer the quality of UD and you get more shadow for your money (esp cf singles from mac/bobbi brown etc)

Sleek palettes also excellent quality & value for money

I get annoyed with running out of some colours in a palette though, so I have a 'supplement' palette of the 3-4 nude colours that I actually use up (a highlight/nude base & a dark brown for shading - there is probably enough in the naked palette though). The little palette can be a complete (if boring) look, but complements my 2 bigger palettes (naked1, a bobbi brown with lilacs). My supplement palette is a mac 4 shade that i made up (I used to like mac, but if I were doing this now, I'd go for Sleek or UD - UD even fits in the same palettes as mac

( I expect my eyeshadow collection to last me through the end of my days )
