Shoes for culottes

I have these in black and I love them. We're going to a neighbours' for drinks tomorrow night and I'm not sure what shoes to wear. I'm going to wear a dark gray silky t-shirt with them but I don't known what shoes. I may have read too many threads on here, but since neighbours have just renovated their house, I don't want to wear my lovely pink and purple heels in case I ruin their new floors.*

Realistically, I want a pair of stacked heel knee high tan boots, for a boho 70s vibe, but as usual my very expensive taste means I can only find crazy spendy ones, and I won't have them for tomorrow night. Wedges seem a bit blah. Going to have an hour tomorrow in a couple of boutiquey shoe shops, so what style would work?

  • note, neighbours are not crazy people and have never even mentioned new floors, let alone put heel embargo in place unlike my properly ridiculous dad

Thanks, herecomes some nice boots there. I'll try to get to a Topshop next week. R&B look fantastic too, but I don't want to buy online and I'm not in the UK and I don't think there are any stockists round these parts.
