Over the knee boots

I've fallen for a pair, but not sure how I'd make them work!

Would it look too Puss in boots wearing them over jeans? And how would I avoid them looking trashy with a skirt?

I have a pair. They are a plum suede Pied a Terre pair and absolutely gorgeous but I've only worn them a couple of times and I've had them about 5 or 6 years now.

They don't work great with jeans, too puss in boots, as you say. They look best with a dress that nearly meets them but not quite. A couple of inches of thigh does indeed look trashy.

Flats are much easier to style, imo.

Whatever you put with it make sure the top half is oversized to avoid the dreaded Liz McDonald effect.

I wear mine with jeans, looks great with a leather jacket.

No flouncy blouses because that does look a bit Puss in Boots.

No worries of flouncy blouses here as I don't own any!

Was thinking maybe with a jumper dress & tights? Definitely don't want lots of thigh on show! Maybe I'll order them & see what they work with that I've already got. I liked that I can fold the top down to wear them as knee high boots too.

I think flat over the knee boots takes away the working girl element.

Wasn't there a thread on this a couple of weeks back? Oh yes. It was a dreaded age appropriate one. Some good suggestions in that for what to wear.

I have a couple of pairs. Flat and with a block heel. They work best with a skirt / dress that ends a few inches above them, IMO. I can't make them work with jeans. Have also worn them with opaques, shorts and a slouchy top.
