Office wear (help)

I've got to the grand age of nearly 40 and have never had to wear 'office wear'. I've always worn jeans/ tunics/ leggings.

But now in my bid for a career change, I need to smarten up! I've been told 'office wear- you know- not jeans!' for working in a primary school.

So I consider what everyone else is wearing and realise that it will look awful on a size 18 Apple with huge norks and a tummy overhang.

I've not much money, what sort of thing should I look for? Preferably somewhere like Sainsburys as not much time to shop!

Would tunic, leggings, cardi and boots be okay? A-line skirt, tshirt and Cardi? Wide patterned trousers?
Arrrggghhhh!

Your ideas sound fine - what about some corduroy trousers instead of jeans? Just make sure everything is ironed/not bobbly or worn out and goes together, boots are polished etc. Some scarves from Primark or similar would help make a simple T and cardi look smarter.

Good luck in your new job! Star
