Hush Knitwear

What is hush knitwear like? Does it wash well and wear well?
There's a jumper I'm interested in but it's £90 and I'm not sure it's worth it.

I like Hush. But I bought a long jumper from the knitwear range last Winter. It was actually a dress but I'm tall.
It was black and white. I washed it and it came out all sorts of colours.
And quiet a lot of the knitwear is very fine.
Check the reviews, they are usually accurate.

I've got 2 Hush cardigans and 2 knitted dresses. I always wash them on a wool or hand cycle on my machine with a really low spin and dry them flat on my heated airer. They've lasted well, kept their shape and not bobbled.

Great. Thanks for the info. It's new so I'm not sure if there are any reviews yet but I'll keep en eye out.

I ve a few items from hush, and it s been variable
I love their knitwear - but one sweater washed well, one bobbled.
Same with the dresses.
Plus I find the sizing a bit boxy

I find the quality on most of their stuff ok, especially for sale/discount code prices, but their knitwear quality is DIRE, IME.

curriegirl · 01/10/2015 06:50

I thought their quality was shocking. I'd never buy from them again.

burnishedsilver · 01/10/2015 09:28

Thanks. I'll keep looking. I'm paying in euros and the exchange rate is bad which makes it even more expensive. Its not worth the risk.

Discount on sales is usually good.
I ended up returning a lot of stuff ordered too - the dresses were poly and creased with any movement.
I think they were aware of this though and the sizing issues - I see they have a wider range of sizes now.
To be honest though I have some scarves from only last year - and looking at them today am disappointed in the amount of pulled treads and generally poor quality. I love their website but previous experience has just put me off ordering any more.
I was impressed with mint velvet knits yesterday instore - and in particular a pretty grey knit scarf with a star on. Am holding out for a discount code bit hoping to get that plus some of the knitwear.
Also h and m had some nice cashmere (plain knit sweaters) - not sure how it would wear but it s a fraction of the price of hush when you take in postage and returns to Ireland.

I think it is hideously overpriced and the sizing is insane.

I love the idea of Hush and it all looks great online. But the quality is terrifyingly variable. Knitwear I would swerve. I do have some nice bits but also some terrible bits and they don't seem to be improving just yet - still overcharging for viscose and polyester. Me and Em are unbeatable for knitwear this season, have a look. £££ but just beautiful design and perfect fabric choices.
