Necklace advice please

I'm going to a work-related dinner next month and need some ideas on what style of necklace to wear to perk up my outfit.

I'll be wearing a dark teal wrap dress, calf length, with a slightly full skirt and deep V neckline. Black opaque tights and vintage style black shoes. It all has a slightly vintage feel. I need to add a little bit of evening glam but have the world's smallest budget.

I've been looking online and got myself completely confused. Do I go big and chunky? pretty and twinkly? long strands? Please help.

There's been a lot of stuff posted about necklines recently when it comes to jewellery (I'm a blog-addict ;)) so looking at some of these, it would seem that V-Neck lines should have a necklace that fits in with the lines of the dress.

I'd go for something classic but eye-catching. A pendant would be nice - a thin chain with a colourful gem at the end :)

Thanks blushrush , I was leaning that way myself as it fills my ample cleavage (but not low enough to become engulfed).

I would disagree with matching the neckline - I would always reflect your face shape (basically, go for a pendant if you have a pointy chin, a collar shape if you have a rounder jaw).

ASOS is good for cheap jewellery.

Something like this?

Are you a gold or silver jewellery person?
