do newer GHD s switch themselves off ?

Just that really. Need a new one, but always have the fear after I ve left the house that I ve left it plugged in! Wondering if newer models have automatic off button, or if anyone can recommend one that does?

I think they do.....after 30 minutes, so you'd still need to have left them on a pretty heat-resistant surface.
I can't actually find the booklet I got with my new ones a few months ago, but I'm sure that's what it said.

Mine have an automatic switch after 30 minutes I think, I have to say I don't think I'd get GHDs if I was buying them (mine were a present). I've heard Cloud9 are good (and made by the same people who used to run GHD).

Yes they switch off after 30 minutes. I just brought the ghd platinum in rose gold. They are fab. I tried a few others after my original ghd's gave up but prefer these.

Mine do, but they're not exactly new, I've had them for about 6 years.
It's been a godsend sometimes when I must have run out and left them on.

New GhDs do switch off and I think they beep too, but I wouldn't buy them again. They're rubbish compared to my original old ones.

I have Cloud 9 and they switch off when the plates don't touch. 30 seconds and heat up again as soon as they touch. I too used to get the fear about leaving straighteners on!
