High Instep vs Winter Boots

I have literally never had a pair of winter boots. I buy boots that are 'fine' and then they break my feet.

What do you wear if you have a high instep?

I have loads!! Ash jalouse worked well, most recently have got some knee highs from Jones bootmakes that just about go over the instep, have ankle boots from toast from last year. Lace ups are another way to go (for short boots) although they don't always work. I have had problem though with the sort that have a side zip, not always enough room for the arch of my foot.

Yup side zips are the devil- the blinking shoe is on and it is fine... I just cant get the zip up! Argh!

I like quite a clumpy boot so the Ash ones are a bit too delicate looking for me.

What do you think of these - side zips both sides and well solid

and these have the side zip but also an elastic inset on the other side and adjustable buckles too

Late to the thread but I have the same problem. I usually find clarks wide fit and gabor work... but not all styles.

these clarks ones were generously sized & I could pull them on. I had last year's version, they do look knackered very quickly, well from the start really, so depends if you like that look.
