Accessorise this dress please!

I have this dress in a royal blue colour way:

I've been assured it will be fine to wear to a christening (please tell me otherwise if you don't agree!) but I've only ever worn it in the evening.
I need shoes, bag, a cover up and maybe a necklace (I'll be wearing pearl stud earrings) but don't know where to start looking!

Silver/gold. necklace, not a long dAngly one, though as it wouldn't suit the style of the dress.

Oh and yeah..It's fine for a christening.

a thick flat chain that lies along the collar bone.
black shooties , black clutch and a black chanel style short jacket - with pearl buttons.

I would go for silver shoes and maybe a patterned bag that had both a similar blue and silver in the pattern, although it could have other colours in it too. (I don't like the colour gold but if gold is more your style and suits you, you could substitute it for the silver.)

A shrug or short, fitted cardigan, maybe black, maybe with some kind of silver/gold sparkly embellishments on the top half.

I probably wouldn't wear a necklace with that neckline but you might get away with it if you have a longish neck - pearls or sparkles (in which case no sparkly bits on the shrug).
