Please oh wise S&B-ers come and talk to me about boots. Sorry, I realise that this has probably been done to death but I'm still none the wiser, and fear I might have been sporting mum boots for decades. I am short of arse and chunky of calf (5'1" and a size 16). I like wearing knee length dresses/pencil skirts, or ankle length skirts for work, and an off-duty wardrobe of straight leg, skinny-ish jeans, or even tunics with leggings (shock horror). I have spent the summer happily wearing black patent heels or ballet pumps for work and flip flops the rest of the time, but the time has come to face my nemesis and work out what the hell to wear in the winter. Please be gentle and start with the basics. What kind of boots could/should I be wearing with what?
