Are these mum boots? (Sorry, it's another boots one!)

I can't do very high heels, these are about as high as I can bear.

I want them to wear with skinny jeans/trousers and not sure if I like them or they're too mumsy. I'm late 40's if that's of interest.

I am not keen on those ones. I was in Clarks today and bought these boots. I can't do high heels but these are very comfortable.

Mind you i am not sure i am the one to be giving advice on mum boots given i am 53 with two grown up daughters!

WilburIsSomePig · 26/09/2015 15:43

Oh I like them. I kind of wanted a slimmer heel though; I'm rubbish at this. Grin

Yes, Wilbur, they are. You can do better than that.

WilburIsSomePig · 26/09/2015 15:56

Anyone else have any suggestions? I don't want completely flat and not a block heel. Like searching for hen's teeth.

FWIW, I quite like the ones you linked to, Wilbur!

MitzyLeFroof · 26/09/2015 16:14

If you are buying at Clarks use the code BGR8 for 20% off.

It runs out at midnight on Sunday I think.

MitzyLeFroof · 26/09/2015 16:15

I quite like the boots you linked to to be honest.

Madbengalmum · 26/09/2015 16:17

Mum boots

TPel · 26/09/2015 16:34

Thanks for the code mitzy. I've just bought these.

Good choice. Love a biker boot!

Vixxfacee · 26/09/2015 16:46

I don't think they are mum boots.

WilburIsSomePig · 26/09/2015 16:48

I bought the Ugg Gershwin boots last week and really like them but I want something with a slim (small) heel for my 'going out' boots! Grin Everything I see seems to either have a block heel or have a fucking massive 5 inch heel that I just can't walk in.

Pandora978 · 26/09/2015 17:01

I don't think they're mum boots but I'm not a mum.

cashewnutty · 26/09/2015 17:06

I love those brown boots.

Almahart · 26/09/2015 17:09

I quite like them too OP. Don't think they're particularly mumsy.

Oxfordblue · 26/09/2015 17:32

I like them, of course they're not mum boots Smile

Don't like the lace ups, they're like Victorian grandma's & I dobt like the clumpy biker boots either...

Floisme · 26/09/2015 18:02

I would stop worrying about it - once flares are back, we'll all be in mum boots. It's the only way you can wear flares in the rain and not get soggy knees. Unless you like your flares short, Alexa Chung style.

Fixinggood · 26/09/2015 18:11

What is a mum boot, just out of interest :)

I like the boots, not my style as I like clumpier but do like them.

Floisme · 26/09/2015 18:13

I would say mum boots are just what we all wore in the 90s with our boot cuts until someone decreed they were Over.

tethersend · 26/09/2015 18:26

These are nicer

WhatamessIgotinto · 26/09/2015 18:43

Thanks all. Not keen on the last ones, I don't really like kitten heels and would like leather rather than suede. (But thanks!).

KnockMeDown · 26/09/2015 18:43

I really like the ones cashew linked too, though I think they are more shoes than boots. These are also really nice.

BrendaandEddie · 26/09/2015 19:00

they are a bit Beverly Callard

BrendaandEddie · 26/09/2015 19:02

ALL the boots here are hateful

If you want boots with skinnies get some chelsea ones or sod boots and get trainers

Or these are nicer
