Wish me luck! Will they know what to do or should I give some direction? Do you want a horrible 'before' picture? Grin

Yes please, i'd love a before &after pic! I'm so tempted to have this done but am worried I'll end up with those horrible 'block' eyebrows. Good luck :)

Millymollymama · 25/09/2015 12:01

I have mine done! They just use a brown to match my hair colour. It gives more definition to my face and it is worth it. I have grey eyebrow hairs apparing so definitely prefer the brown. Does not last that long though! The beauty therapist will know what she is doing and you can discuss the colour beforehand. Don't worry.

mumchkin · 25/09/2015 12:11

I would take a photo of some brows you admire - and don't let them make them too thin - sometimes they get overzealous! You'll be amazed by the difference it makes - you look so much more polished ;)

Jemimapuddleduk · 25/09/2015 12:21

Good luck! Be prepared to feel a bit strange with stronger eyebrows to start off with! Mine go from v blonde to light brown and they feel a bit alien for the first week and then a week in once the dye has faded a bit are great! Reminds me that I need to re book for mine!

divere · 25/09/2015 12:51

Thats what I'm most worried about tim - bold eyebrows look great on some but I am very fair and very plain so they really would look ridiculous on me. Here's hoping there's some sort of happy medium!

I'm hoping it will make a nice change. I put eyebrow pencil on for the first time last week and the cleaner said she couldn't believe she'd never noticed how 'sparkly' my eyes were before. (Perhaps she was drunk!)

Here's a 'before' pic - excuse the lack of much needed concealer and eye makeup.

Following with interest! I have also been toying with the idea of getting mine done. Good luck OP!

isupposeitsverynice · 25/09/2015 12:59

This is totally off topic but it really bothers me that women feel the need to excuse themselves when posting pictures. You have really pretty eyes but even if you didn't you'd still have every right to post them on the internet if you felt the desire!

Sorry!

On topic - how exciting Grin it is a bit of a revelation having eyebrows done for the first time, makes a surprising difference. Just be clear with your beauty therapist that you're not looking for scouse brow effect and you will be fine! I'm no beauty therapist but it looks like your brows will lend themselves nicely to a bit of shaping. Mine have practically nothing towards the end and it;s a bit of a nightmare to shape them - usually have to colour in a bit (highly recommend Benefit eyebrow stuff if you find yourself going shopping after your appointment!)

divere · 25/09/2015 13:02

I think I have that Benefit set isuppose, bought on a whim and used once! I'll dig it out this afternoon.

Confidence is at rock bottom at the moment so apologies for excusing myself - you are of course right Wink

Enjoy. The effect that tinting gives is addictive - you will want to have it done every week! As others said, be clear that you don't want loads taken off and that you don't want to go too dark, and you will be fine.

WickedWax · 25/09/2015 13:07

Ooh I'd love to get my hands on your brows, I can see exactly the shape they should be and they don't need too much off at all. I get my clients to check a few times throughout the treatment that they're happy with how their brows are shaping up - my rule of thumb is I can always take more off, I can't stick it back on.

Excited to see the 'after' pic. Grin

isupposeitsverynice · 25/09/2015 13:20

The little compact? I luuurve it. It's so easy to use as well (I am so crap at make up and stuff). I too am looking forward to seeing your after pic which I am sure will be accompanied by a huge surge in confidence once your brows have been beautified* Grin

*Not that they are remotely unbeautiful now, of course!! Lovely eyebrows, like the rest of you I'm sure. But you know what I mean!

divere · 25/09/2015 14:53

Oh goodness, they are so dark!

southeastastra · 25/09/2015 14:56

pic?

BrandNewAndImproved · 25/09/2015 14:58

Im a red head and my brows are blondey browny and not well defined.

I get my brows done in an Asian shop for a tenner and they're always really great. They will feel to dark at first but that's only because your not used to seeing them. Did you get them threaded as well as tinted?

Put compact foundation all over with a large brush and go over your eyebrows with it if they feel to dark.

DiamondoInTheSky · 25/09/2015 14:58

They are dark for a couple of days but then it goes away - don't worry!

DiamondoInTheSky · 25/09/2015 14:59

It's just because the tint is so fresh

divere · 25/09/2015 15:07

I'll post a pic when I get home...maybe ! They are really too dark, I am light blonde and they are dark brown! I think the shape is better but I can't stop seeing the colour.

Okay, here's a picture. Sorry tim, I've probably completely put you off!

I want my blonde eyebrows back :( thank god this isn't permanent!

I've just cleaned my face and looked in my mirror and actually, maybe they aren't so bad.. They look more normal on this photo. Hopefully after a few days they will look lighter.

I dye my own. If moustache dye's good enough for Dita von Teese's brows, it's good enough for mine.

oliviafrombolivia · 25/09/2015 16:59

firstly, you are so not plain, and secondly eyebrows look great.

numberseventeen · 25/09/2015 17:04

I only started having this done 6 months ago, I hid them the first time behind my fringe and after 2/3 days I loved them.

I bought a cheap brow kit to use in between tints and couldn't be without it now. Yours look fab, think it's just a shock after being used to seeing them in the mirror

grannycake · 25/09/2015 17:04

They look fab. The beauty therapy students in my FE college do mine. Going Monday and can't wait

Smurfingreat · 25/09/2015 17:04

Brows look great OP and they will settle. I've been getting mine done for years as I have fairly similar colouring to you and prefer the definition tinted brows give me. The day I get them done they always look a bit startling, but by the next morning after a couple of face washes they look great.
