Bridesmaid tan disaster - please help!

Wedding is Friday. Went for salon fake bake this morning, all smug after proper prep, exfoliation etc.

Washed off about an hour ago. It's about 5 shades too dark (despite a perfect trial) and looks so bad I had to fob off meeting the bride this evening as she'll be really upset. There is also a round white patch on my shoulder which is very visible.

Have googled and seen suggestions like exfoliation, body oil, long baths and swimming to help fade a tan - will any of these do it evenly? Also any advice on what to do with the patch?

Please please help, I am really upset but bride will be much worse!

Thank you!

Go back to the salon, complain and ask what they can do?

BrideFear · 23/09/2015 22:35

Sooper, thanks for reply! Am wondering if the salon can actually do anything other than re-tan the white patch? I don't know if a tan remover lotion exists if it's on for more than a couple of hours ...

These are suggested on a beauty site:

SUGAR & LEMON
Mix together one cup of raw sugar and ¾ cup of lemon juice. Using raw sugar is essential as the rough granules scrub away the tan. Rub the mixture over your skin and leave it to sit for a few minutes. After, rinse off with warm water.

BICARBONATE OF SODA & LEMON
Mix half a cup of bicarbonate of soda (not to be confused with baking powder) with half a cup of lemon juice until a smooth paste forms. Apply to your skin and allow it to sit for a few minutes before wiping off with a cleansing cloth. You may have to repeat this process a few times, but it works!

HAIR REMOVAL CREAM
Want a quick way to remove your glow? Hair removal cream and waxing will instantly strip your skin of your tan, so if you make a mistake, immediately spray a little of the hair removal cream onto the area and wipe off!

Also saw someone mention st tropez do a fake tan removal lotion but thread was very old.

Good luck!
