Tights that don't fall down!

I am 5 ft 8, and a size 12-14 (12 doesn't do up, 14 is too loose- why can't shops do a size 13?!). I need decent, thick tights that don't fall down! Any ideas?

I'm 5'8" and a size 12 and have been wearing these tights from Next. They don't fall down. Also Sainsburys tights are good.

If you are wearing boots Prinark do tights to the ankle and socks on the end they are great.

Wear a second pair of knickers over the top of your tights, this stops them falling down

I have a big black pair of knickers that are my 'tight knickers' that I wear over the top.

Ditto Moon and Silver. I have 3 pairs of short style knickers specifically for holding my tights up. Your tights never go anywhere then. If the outfit's not suitable for second knickers eg. Tight fitting, I wear hold ups instead.

Just size up. If you are a tall 12-14, buy XL tights. They will come up to your boobs but they won't budge.

I am 5ft 6 and a 10/12, and tend to buy large - I know they're expensive, but I have pairs of Wolford and Falke opaques which I've had for five years and are still going strong. I recently bought some from Topshop which I've been really impressed with too.

The knickers idea is great in theory but, either the knickers fall down, or the tights aren't held in place by the knickers! Bigger tights mean that they gather at the ankles. I swear, I am a body shape unknown to man!

I just buy my normal size in tights and they stay up fine. I get a medium and am a size 12.

Someone should invent braces for tights. Though if I was Queen of the World, I would outlaw tights altogether in favour of leggings.
