... you're over ballet pumps?

I want something practical (ie flat and vaguely weather-proof by which I mean won't totally fall apart at the first drop of rain, not that they have to be wellies), that I can wear with dresses and opaques in the autumn. I know brogues, but they seem a but chunky with some of the dresses I have in mind. Ditto ankle boots.

There must be an answer to this but I can't think what it is. If you know, please tell me (or better still link to shopping opportunities).

Do you like loafers. I bought these and wear them to work with slim leg trousers, smart top and intend to wear with skirts (I favour an a line with a shirt look with opaques and these seem to work okay with that. Also they look good with jeans, those smarter Jersey trousers that are like heavy leggings. Www://assets.clarksmcr.com/products/2/6/1/26109179_B_p.jpg

I wear the shoe style crocs, I have a narrow foot and the fit fine. I dont own a traditional style pair.

I wear shoe boots & ankle boots & I have a new pair of red wine coloured chunky patent leather loafers - Never thought I'd wear loafets but I love them. I got sick to death of ballet flats

& I wear all of them with opaque tights & dresses / skirts
