i've seen a nice blue one but where could you wear it? def not work ..

Depends on the style? I have several and wear them casually with jeans.

In the spirit of the thread though I like them with jeans for not to dressy nights out :)

I LOVE it, don't wear with the matching trousers though, they are spectacularly unflattering, even on that skinny model

Trews are vile but I like the jacket in a louche 80s throwback sort of way. I quite fancy a grey one - had one years ago and still miss it.

I had a red velvet jacket in the 90's which I used to wear with patterned dresses, opaques and DM's.

Oh god I used to LIVE in velvet jackets in my late teens. Bought them all from charity shops. nostalgic

...in the 90s? Just kidding, I saw someone in one today and it looked good but still sort of like I was at 6th form again! Could wear for a nught out or with jeans in the day?

I also loved my velvet jacket days- university in my case. Very pretty blue colours!
