No 7 Stay Perfect Foundation

Does anyone use this and could recommend? I went into Boots today and had the colour match (Deeply Ivory) and the consultant used a primer down the T section and a loose powder on the top. It looked as though it was all sitting on top of my skin once she had done it. She did not cleanse before putting the foundation on as I only had moisturiser on so wondering if this made a difference?
I have very high colour in my cheeks which I am trying to cover.
I have not used foundation for years and wonder if this is the best colour match I am going to find?

I found the colour match was the best and I've tried lots. Also I'm very pale and a lot of brands don't go to my colour. I've used half a bottle but won't be repurchasing. I got it to try and save money to replace my estee lauder double wear. It's failing because I have to use twice as much and it comes off after a few hours and in blotches so it makes me look a mess. Ive tried my smashbox and prefessional primers with it but still does the same.I've also found its making my skin quite spotty to. But this could just be because I've got sensitive skin. I always suggest double wear to everyone!! People must think I work for them Grin but I honestly love it. Covers all imperfections easily and lasts all day.

Thanks Getuhta I will go to Estee Lauder and try double wear. Do you use a primer underneath?

Another vote for double wear - I wear the double wear light and I don't have to retouch it, don't bother with a primer either. I've tried a lot of other brands, but nothing else seems to last or match as well to my skin.

i prefer lift and luminate to stayperfect

Can you get a pump to use with double wear?

leccybill · 19/09/2015 21:42

I switched from Stay Perfect to Superlight, which goes on easily and is less mask-like. I found the colour matching service to be good.

You don't need primer with double wear. I got a pump of ebay but it was ages ago only cost a few quid. They probley still have them.

I swear by no 7 foundation and I've used ever pricey brand out there.

Of all the no 7s stay perfect is not the best - I prefer lift and luminate but I also use beautifully matte for better coverage when my skin is prone to oiliness around my period.

I'm convinced Estée lauder changed the formulation of their double wear light a couple of years back and it's mediocre now.

I love Estée Lauder double wear. I use it for special occasions (with a primer from Smashbox) and just use a CC tinted moisturiser on normal days.

Beware - I find that the colour matching service is awful - as my skin has a tendency to redness I find I get matched to pink toned shades that makes it worse. I also am allergic to No7 after a few days use - I have no idea what they put it but it makes my skin spotty and even redder.

I am currently using Bourjois CC cream which I am finding much better - covers well but lets my skin show through too.

If you like heavier I find the Clinique CC cream good too - but be v careful about what colour you are matched to.

I used Clinique foundation for years, then I discovered boots no 7 and never looked back. The colour match is excellent, I use Stay Perfect for evenings, and Superlight for daytime. I've also got the compact foundation (easier to use at the gym than liquid foundation).
