Can someone give me some advice please. I an over 50 and have never got to grips with make up. I have fair, very dry skin but with quite a lot of red (mild rosacea) so I like a reasonable amount of coverage.

I currently use benefit hello flawless foundation and powder but as the day goes on, it tends to look patchy and mottled. Where am I going wrong?

My skin sounds similar to yours, 49, dry, pale, last couple of yrs mild breakouts which I now realise is rosacea. I'm on another thread listing the zillions of foundation I've tried, but at the moment I am loving cheap as chips Maybelline dream silk.
No doubt people will recommend double wear but on me it is orange and too drying.

Thank you later - I will give the maybelline a try and also try and find your thread.
