If you succeed, I promise to come back and give you all the gory details. It's going to be a tough challenge, mind you....

I'm 5'8" and a size 16, boobs 36E, big bum (which I'm not ashamed of) saggy tummy (which I don't like)

It will need to be flat shoes, and casual style. It's just a works night out. So understated but quietly confidently sexy, please!

I'm thinking really nice oversized top with cami?

Help! Grin

I'd go for a dress. There are some nice denim dresses in the shops at the moment which can be dressed up with some nice accessories like a necklace or belt.

The small things blog has some great hair tutorials which are simple but can really add to your look.

Do you have good legs? I like the over sized (but gauzy) top and cami look, if you can wear dark skinny jeans, for example? I know it's not supposed to matter but how old are you? Any particular looks/styles you gravitate to? Ooh and subtle but pheromonal perfume!

Bullettoothtony · 16/09/2015 21:37

I'm 43. I haven't had any style for years because I can't come to terms with being over weight. I used to gravitate towards surfer or punk look though. Now, I end up in George from Asda so as not to bring attention to myself!

Legs are not great but not awful (I used to have great legs!) I usually wear blotchy, but I am coincidentally just eyeing up some skinny jeans on line

Blotchy??? That was supposed to be bootcut!

What is gauzy please?

Can you point me at a denim dress?

Maybe gauzy isn't quite what I mean- light and floaty- flashes a bit of cami!

misslemonsfilingcabinet · 16/09/2015 21:52

Or a pencil skirt and delicate flats? Could be some ideas here. If it's looking irresistible for a man, as a gross generalisation, they quite like a pencil skirt...

I can't pull off a pencil skirt and/or delicate flats

I'm not traditionally feminine

I love the surfer look, do you have to be dressed up ? As in formal ?

prettywhiteguitar · 16/09/2015 22:46

Ok sorry just read the thread again ! I like a black lace bottomed cami from fat face overlaid with a cream or delicate colour cardi (thin) or cover up for your arms against the cold.

Then dark jeans and a leather moccasin

prettywhiteguitar · 16/09/2015 22:46

Accessories are beads and delicate drop pearl earrings
