DD is in the same position (except she just got a job - yippee!), and went for a plain black skirt with one of the herringbone block type collar-less jackets and black shoes with not too ridiculous heels.

She has also worn a black trouser suit from French Connection (sale!!), which finished just below the ankle. It looked nice with a brighter coloured top under.

We were impressed with the range of stuff available at the larger M & S stores.

Finance is going to be pretty traditional, so I suppose she has to be careful.

And yes.....she still needs her Mum! Smile

Good luck for the clothes hunting and the interviews.

I have just gone through the same process with my daughter who has just started her first job in London. We found a nice shirtwaist dress in Warehouse, but it may be too long for y our daughter as mine is 5'9".
Also found a nice one in Red Herring in Debenhams. Both are nice to wear with a plain or patterned jacket. We got a couple of skirts in Marks - one plain camel and one more of a kilt, and two blouses. The skirts are in two lengths and the longer one is just right . We also bought a winter weight sleeveless waistcoat from New Look which would go over skirts or trousers and blouses. Finally trousers from Marks, one navy and one black pair. New Look, Zara, and H&M all have clothes suitable for work. Good luck!
