Desperate for some naice winter jumpers for the DS

I know we don't usually post in here for help with childrens' clothing but I'm getting a bit desperate. I just cannot find what I want.

I want a pair of nice high quality jumpers (not the same ones) for my boys of 10 & 6. They are sizes 8-9 & 6-7. I quite like bold, bright jumpers (yellow, orange, aqua blue) & am open to applique/stitching/patterns/designs & preferably round necked.

However I'm not at all open to: slogans of the 'Here Comes Trouble' or 'Mummy's Little Rascal' ilk, cheap thin materials, boring sludge colours or plain navy/beige/green, strange cowl necklines, skulls, animals in neon sunglasses or clothes (although animals themselves are fine, I quite like a fox on a jumper ) or anything that looks like sportswear. I'm not a fan of branding but if its discreet then it can be overlooked.

No budget, could be £50 or £5....

Any ideas gratefully received Cake Wine

Debenhams are the best we have had, but pretty disappointing in colours. They have orange ish and bright blue. Might need to wait another month??

H&M often have bright stripes in

Might be too sludgy?

MidnightVelvetthe3rd · 16/09/2015 13:52

Thanks both :)

That stag one is just the thing for DS1 Bike, however the fox one would probably scare DS2, look at the eyes!

OK one down & one to go, I KNEW you would have better ideas than me :)

Zara had some lovely autumn clothes, unfortunately I was looking at the girl section but the boys clothes in there can be bright.

I also hate the slogans that are printed all over boys clothes.
I have recently bought my DS some lovely jumpers from Next (blue knit) and H&M (chunky grey knit, brights stripes and navy zip collar) Am pleased with the quality of them too.

Bellebella · 16/09/2015 16:39

I bought these ones for my DS from Asda, H&M and Next. Really like traditional knitted jumpers on my ds, they look smarter to me

H&M are usually fab for brightly coloured jumpers..often in stripes. I agree, I hate the slogan ones. If you can stretch to it, Ralph Lauren do some gorgeous ones and I often look on e-bay for stuff like that also have a cousin who donates things to me regularly. GAP is another if not mentioned already....

Plain bright jumper from Vertbaudet in orange or aqua blue here I like their jumpers as they often have a bit of wool in.

slithytove · 16/09/2015 19:01

Why not commission a knitter?

Are sequins too girly? Sadly this company only do girls clothes.
