Rubbing aspirin on your face....?!

So, what is salycilic (sp?) acid...? Is it the same as is in aspirin? Is it good for your skin???? Anyone use it? I'm in pursuit of youth and beauty and all that stuff, and a nicer looking skin that doesn't look like I've been awake all night thanks to small terrorists people...

There's plenty of recipes for aspirin face masks online. Never tried myself but aspirin seems to get glowing reviews!

Oooh, must go Google!

Aspirin does nothing apart from temporarily knock out redness in the skin, it has no treatment benefits.

Salycilic acid is good for blackheads.

I use asprin mixed with lemon juice. Asprin calms any redness down and the lemon juice for acne scars. I found it also helps with blackheads. Works for me and worth a go for the price.

Salicylic acid is similar but not the same as aspirin. Aspirin face mask will get rid of redness but you need a good salicylic acid product at the right pH to dissolve down into pores and clear out blackheads/spots/sebaceous filaments.

Personally I can't be bothered with the faff. A bottle of Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion has lasted months using twice a day and takes seconds. No spots ever except when I start slacking.

Tried it. It made a right mess and didn't really do anything.
