Socks that don't fall down in boots?

Is there such a thing? Today I have had to put on leggings and boots after freezing my bum off yesterday and remember the annual issue of socks falling down inside my boots as I walk.

Does anyone have a solution or can they recommend any socks that stay up?

I wear two pairs, the outer one must have a decent cuff, that seems to work.

Primark black cotton ones £2 for 5 pairs.

It may be your boots... the heel may not fit correctly so it's rubbing and tugging down your socks.

Oh, and to add: if it's the heel rubbing, perhaps something sheer or silky would deal with the rubbing better.

If I'm wearing leggings then I pull my socks up over them while wearing boots. If I'm wearing jeans then I wear 2 pairs...1 under the jeans (to stop hard Jean fabric pressing against my leg) and another pair pulled up over them. I suffered terribly with this especially when wearing wellies while walking the dog but problem is solved now Grin

I have one pair of ankle boots that always pull my socks down - my other pairs don't do this. So with the one pair that does pull my socks down, I just roll the top of the socks over the top of the boots (but then they're under jeans, so no one can see this).
