Too early for black tights?

Two things - am cold at work with my bare legs and ankles and bumped into a friend who complimented me on my "casual" look when I thought I looked relatively smart!!

Work wardrobe is based on dresses and black tights - is it too soon?!

Sadly no. I've had 2 black tights days in September so far and haven't had my legs out for at least 3 weeks

It's never too early, although personally I prefer grey.

I'm in them - my body decided it wanted it to be Autumn!

Summer is just sooo last season.

Yep, I'm also in black tights at work.

I would never wear bare legs to work, so: black, navy or grey opaques year round for me!

Can't wait for autumn proper to wear tweeds and woolens.

I wouldn't do bare legs at work - I quite like the M&S 'Illusion' nudes, if you're not ready for full on opaque yet.

Yep, I wore black tights today.

First black tights day for me today.

I've worn them since the first day of term, have a been a few moments when travelling between classroom blocks that I gave been too hot, but inside have been just right!

I officially declare it black tights season!

I did nude tights with dresses last week at work and by Thursday was freezing and cracked out the trousers.

It was raining and cold for much of today in my bit of London.

I've got my black tights and ankle boots out for work tomorrow .

Yeah black tight season! Love it, so many outfit opportunities that have been tucked away, less chance if a ladder than nudes and soooooo flattering.

I went for opaques today for the first time of the season. Definitely cold enough now.

I am thrilled, really opens up my wardrobe.

I'm seeing lots of sheer black tights.

Sheer black can be v unflattering though.

Black opaques and boots today. I was out and about with work and it was lashing it down. I'd have looked properly stupid with bare legs.

I'm going for it tomorrow. I had floaty trousers on today and I was freezing. Im too far north for this summer/autumn crossover rubbish. Black tights that come up to my armpits will be the order of the day!

I've had the opaques on, but tend to favour navy and plum.

I'm still wearing navy or nude tights, black just feels a step too far, will try to hang on till October!

First day for me too

See, this is how I know we didn't have a proper summer this year. It's the first one, ever, that I've not dropped below 40 denier, let alone gone with bare legs.

So it's a 'not too early' from me, as I've been in 60 denier since late August.
