Looking for jersey / knit dresses for Autumn / Winter. Please help!

I'm trying to find some jersey or knit dresses for Autumn and Winter but am not having any luck. I'm only 5 ft 4 so don't want knee length. Mid thigh would be perfect as I want to wear with tights and ankle boots. Ideally three quarter sleeves but will consider other options. Perfect colours would be Berry, burgundy, green or other rich colours. Anyone seen anything suitable out there?

Can you sew? Or do you know someone who can sew? I have found some amazing dress patterns on eBay and jersey material is inexpensive per meter

This sort of thing? Topshop

This looks nice. Think it comes in black as well

ASOS are great for knit dresses.

Go to 'dresses' and refine to 'jumper dresses'. Lots of lovely mid thigh options.

I found a lovely knitted dress in Tescos. much nicer on than this photo

FrustratedFrugal · 12/09/2015 18:17

I found a nice anthracite gray mid thigh dress at Vila.

I got some nice wool / cashmere blend ones from the woolovers website a couple of years ago.

ItsAllGoodMan · 12/09/2015 18:59

Topshop one looks a good length but roll neck no good for me as I'm quite busty. Others look a bit dressy and too long. Will have a look on asos thanks!

I buy winter Jersey dresses from the White company

Are Baukjen too pricey? I know a fair few are to the knee, but they do have shorter, and some lovely colours.

Boohoo for cheap Jersey dresses

Yourethe1formefatty · 13/09/2015 22:03

this would be the right length for you.

Very flattering fit, soft jersey. I have it in 4 different colours Blush got 2 from brandalley and 2 from asos, all much cheaper than FC prices.

Kin by John Lewis? In khaki and grey

CambridgeBlue · 13/09/2015 22:24

Hush Henley dresses are great, they don't seem to be doing them this season which is annoying but you can sometimes get BNWT ones from eBay.

ItsAllGoodMan · 14/09/2015 19:25

Have just looked on Baukjen... something like this would be nice but I think it would be knee length on me as models are usually so tall. Also very expensive!

Will try to go through the rest of the suggestions later. Looked on Asos and everything was either too high necked or too long. I suspect I should give up for this year as midi length and polo necks seem to be in fashion...

I got this www.fatface.com/tunics/truro-pocket-tunic/invt/906166#ff_colour=Nordic%20Blue in 2 colours last year (last years colours were nicer in my opinion, plum and grey). I'm 5'3 and it's mid thigh on me

Yourethe1formefatty · 14/09/2015 20:24

Def look at French Connection, their dresses are always shorter than average.

ItsAllGoodMan · 14/09/2015 21:47

Thanks LittleG69. I'm not sure I'm that keen on the fatface ones but it gave me the idea to search for tunics rather than dresses - I'm finding more options now. I quite like this warehouse one and as the model is 6 inches taller than me it would probably be the right length! I wish it wasn't an acrylic blend though

Have you looked at Me&Em sale section - summer dresses, but some of them are long sleeved. Best heavy-weight jersey around IMO.
