Best type of brush for long fine hair?

I'm using a 10 year old Denman brush at the moment but I don't think it's doing my hair much good. My hair is a bit longer than bra strap length, quite fine and prone to split ends and static/fluffiness/frizz. It gets knotty very quickly too.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that one :) Doesn't the bristle make your hair static though?

My dd has long fine hair, so I have just googled the Mason Pearson ones, they are £100!! They always have been costly but I don't remember them being quite that expensive. Still, I suppose they last for decades.

I have a smaller flat back Mason Pearson which is mixed bristle and plastic. I also have a very widetooth comb that i find is good for combing my hair when wet especially after copious amounts of conditioner to combat the frizzy / flyaway -ness.

Yea, I don't think I can justify £50-100 on a hair brush! Has anyone got any suggestions around the £15 mark?

Don't have personal experience but this one has good reviews:

Great :) I'll get the bristle brush and the tangle teezer, DS needs a brush too so he can have one of them :)

Tangle teaser - the handbag version is good.
