I feel really pathetic

Ok so I'm a first time mum doing the school run, I haven't bought anything new for it but I like to look good. I noticed today another mum wearing the same staple poncho as me. Exactly the same. I worn it a few times since last week. Now I feel really awkward wearing mine, what would you do? I know I shouldn't care but I do! First world problems

Tough it out until she stops wearing hers :-)
Alternatively use it as a conversation starter. You might make a new friend with the same taste as you.

Thanks both good ideas, I think it will be awkward as her dc and mine are in the same class but I think I will feel pretty rubbish about myself if another mum drove me to buy another poncho just because she wore the same one. I have to admit she does wear it better, should that make a difference?

Get a very nice hat

And a new bag. Or a pair of boots. Make it something that really pops.

Then wear your poncho with pride
