Has anyone seen a necklace with this type of clasp?

My friend has a fab necklace (which she bought from a stall in a Christmas market about 5 years ago, which doesn't help me!) that has a brilliant clasp and I'd really like something similar as it's easy to do up (I struggle with some clasps).

It was a wire sort of choker style necklace (not tight around the throat, but that sort of circular shape) and the two ends fitted together with one end being pointy slotting and sliding (like a willy!) into the other which had a hole and it just carried on going in until the wire (which became increasingly thicker away from the end) stopped it going in any more-so it slid in 3/4 inches maybe.

I've probably described that really badly, but I wonder if anyone know what I mean!?

I have never ever seen a necklace clasp which is like a willy. WTH. Can you photograph it?

NoManJan · 08/09/2015 13:48

Sorry I can't help but like a willy Grin

I know what kind of clasp you mean (oddly) my granny had a similar necklace years ago, but never seen them locally. Maybe the more handmade type places will sell them? It kind of slides in and catches, then you squeeze it out of the catch to remove it? God we are so technical.

Is it a barrel clasp?

rollonthesummer · 08/09/2015 13:56

Lol-it honestly looks nothing like a willy! Just the fact that it's got a he bit which slides inside the her bit if you see what I mean.

Definitely not a barrel clasp. I wish I could draw it!

Imagine one end is long and thin but getting wider as it gets further away from the end, the other end has a hole into which the other end slides until it can't slide any more!? Like a pointy stick going into a hosepipe!?

I've not seen the clasp you describe but my mil who strugles to do up necklaces gets these.

Once on the necklace they effectively do themselve up!

rollonthesummer · 08/09/2015 14:26

No-it's not the pop style or the one q for cucumber posted a picture of. The 'in' bit slid in a couple of inches-no particular clasp. The fact that the necklace was a wire one and obviously a round shape, may have helped to hold it in place?

Where can I see the bayonet link, nottodaysatan?

I forgot to attach the bloody picture!
