depends on what you want to cover, if its dark undereyes then benefit lemonaid is good (MUA do a good copy as well its the yellow corrector)

chipsandpeas · 07/09/2015 18:06

should add i have both, i use the MUA one for work and the lemonaid for going out the lemonaid is a lot better lasting imo

Hi, iloveoz, I think it is often down to the way you apply it also, and the brushes you use.
I like Bobbi Brown and YSL Touche Eclat to brighten. I also like this by Laura Mercier.
wayne Goss does some good .

iloveoz · 07/09/2015 18:17

thank you
i dont have dark circles just a kind of tired look if you understand
really want to buy one that i feel happy with and does the trick and maybe gives me a fresher look if pos

The Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer is my holy grail.

It's like the NARS Radiant Creamy but way better. Lighter on your skin but still evena out and lifts the whole area. Blends out like a dream too.

123Jump · 07/09/2015 18:21

I just posted that tutorial, but he has one others, if you have a scroll through. He recommends some products etc.
Have you tried a session at a make up counter? You don't have to buy.

MrsBertMacklin · 07/09/2015 18:23

NotToday I loved the NARS coverage but it was hugely cakey and settled in all my crinkles even after patting it out/setting with powder. Is the UD one much better on that front?

NotTodaySatan · 07/09/2015 18:28

Exactly MrsBert (love the name).

It gives better coverage imo while also not caking or drying the area. It's witchcraft! I hated the NARS one. So dry and cakey. Eurgh.

knitknack · 07/09/2015 18:29

I was going to recommend the Nars too - would like to try the urban decay mind you! Imo, concealer is one of the few items it's really worth paying more for - in fact it's only that (currently have the nars and Charlotte tilbury) and highlighter (nothing beats Becca) that I find it's REALLY worth spending on. Everything else I've found awesome in both high and low cost brands, but not concealer and highlighter...

They're probably the two most underrated items also, thinking about it... cleverly used they can make your skin look flawless.

iloveoz · 07/09/2015 18:31

thanks jump

not nars

Clarins one in a tube

123Jump · 07/09/2015 18:41

I know! When DC3 was bfing every hour night and day, I was quite happy, watching all his tutorials.

LagoDiComo · 08/09/2015 08:15

Clarins Airbrush concealer but I think the important thing is to find a brand with a perfect shade match for you. Pale skin can be pink or yellow toned

LoadsaBlusher · 08/09/2015 10:21

I am currently loving the Rimmel Wake Me Up under eye concealer
It gives really good coverage for a budget product .

Lemonfizzypop · 08/09/2015 10:28

I'm fair skinned with freckles and use nars creamy concealer in vanilla, but I use khiels avocado eye cream underneath which helps smooth it out and stops it settling into my creases.

lavazzzalover · 09/09/2015 23:00

Ive tried loads over the yrs and found a great one last month. Primark for ??1.

Seriously. Its the same colour as my skin. Blends nicely.

lavazzzalover · 09/09/2015 23:02

??1 I mean!

lavazzzalover · 09/09/2015 23:03

Oh..the poundsign is broken!

????????!

CuttedUpPear · 09/09/2015 23:13

I used Lemonaid but found it dragged my skin. DD works for MAC and got me their Prime and Perfect. It's a liquid-y cream with its own brush dispenser. It's really very good for getting rid of the purple circles round my eyes. Blends in well.

CuttedUpPear · 10/09/2015 08:32

Correction: It's called Prep + Prime (MAC). It's vair good.

CherylTunt · 10/09/2015 10:54

I have tried many - I have had dark undereye circles all my life - and now find the Collection 2000 one best. It was recommended on here and I was sceptical but am now a convert.

Lottapianos · 10/09/2015 10:58

Like Loadsa, I get along really well with Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. It blends, lasts and covers well. The foundation is also excellent

TobleroneBoo · 10/09/2015 11:31

I am also fair and freckly - I start with the Garnier roll on because it cover but it is also quite cooling. Also use some Erase paste if needed but prefer the roll on

Aroundamulberry · 10/09/2015 14:35

Watch the video re simple makeup with Hannah from Bobbi Brown it concentrates on under the eyes. It's half way down.

It's about using a correcter first to,even skin tone followed by using concealer.
