What do I wear with my new skirt?

It sits on my waist, fairly short, it's bright emerald green. I was planning on wearing it with thick knitted black tights and flats which look nice. But NO idea what to wear on top/ cardi, do I tuck my top in? Tight or loose?!

This is why I stick to dresses.

I would go for a floral blouse. Off white with some sprigged pink florals as that is its complimentary colour on the colour wheel with green of course on stems.

In or out would depend on style of blouse, skirt and body shape I would have thought.

For a more autumn winter look I'm thinking earthy colours, mustard, would go we'll. Dark terracotta, dark brick.

Violet!

Short sleeved black jumper.

I saw that violet is opposite emerald green on the colour wheel but I've never felt comfortable on dressing this way.
