Sure lots of you bought one when they were on offer a while back with £100 off.
I missed the offer and was bit gutted but again thinking of getting one
So.... What did you all think? Which one did you get?
Or shall I just continue the ( strangely satisfying) plucking?

I have one, bought at full price Confused. Latest model but not the one with facial bit.

It is bloody marvellous. I last used it about mid July and only now have a few leg hairs reappearing. It only took about 4 sessions of use too. I did my entire bikini area with it which was so good for the summer. That is just starting to reappear now.

If I had used it every week or so, I would still be entirely hairless.

SirVixofVixHall · 02/09/2015 22:00

Does it get rid of hair forever?

DextersMistress · 02/09/2015 22:09

I was on the last lumea thread and bought one at the time, funnily enough was going to resurrect it today with my review.

My underarm hair was very thick and very dark. I had a shadow immediately after shaving because you could still see it under the skin. I could only shave every 4-5 days as I'd get ingrown hairs and a rash. It's been the bane of my life since I was a teenager.

I'm currently on day 5 of my holiday and I haven't brought a razor. I have a few wispy hairs that are barely noticeable. It was honestly worth every penny, no more depressing summers wearing sleeves 6 days a week Smile

WhoisLucasHood · 02/09/2015 22:10

I bought mine in Jul, it's V good. Chin mostly clear only a few light hairs, pits are a few sessions off being clear. I've only done the legs and bikini twice, bikini is almost clear but legs will take another month or so. I'm very impressed and annoyed I didn't get one sooner. I expect there will be regrowth but not as dark as before. I have the newer version with face/ bikini attachments.

rainingsleepingbags · 03/09/2015 06:44

I got one a while ago (maybe 18 months) and I didn't see particularly spectacular results. That might be my fault though, because I didn't really use it as consistently as I should have.

However. I got it out just this week to give it another go and it wouldn't turn on. Just nothing, even after charging it for ages. I'm pretty disappointed in it to be honest.

WizzardHat · 03/09/2015 07:26

I got the one that plugs in to the wall, and I've only used it a couple of times (had it a bit longer than a month and you're meant to leave it a couple of weeks between sessions). I could see a big difference on my legs after the first session, and I think the hair in my pits is looking thinner, but not gone. I use it at a lower intensity there though.

I have very pale skin and dark hair, which may be why it works so well on me.

The only issue for me is that the shiny metal piece round the attachment came off when I was cleaning it (a bit too vigorously, obviously) and I can't get it to fit back in. It will still work and I'm going to squash it in somehow. But be careful when you clean it.

Dinkydoos · 03/09/2015 09:44

Ooh! These seem fairly positive!
Going to go and look at the latest ones then, any idea what latest model is as there seems to be quite a few?

I was actually going to post to see if anyone has any codes .... looking for the one with the face and bikini area attachment (is it even possible to do a Brazilian with it btw?!). Annoyingly it's out of stock in Boots online, would have been great to get the points on my Advantage card.......

NotADaffodil · 06/09/2015 13:09

I actually bought one this morning!

I've been toying with the idea for a while but they're so expensive, I came across a thread on here with a couple of discount codes so I went for it.

Not sure how to link to that thread (and can't seem to find it now!) but the codes for purchases on the Philips website are RFF35PHILIPS (35% off) and 10PHILIPS (10% off)

I got the precision plus one (with the face/bikini attachments). It's on promotion reduced from £500 to £449, and with the two discount codes the total came to £263.23!

If whoever posted those codes is reading this thread, thank you!

mowglik · 17/09/2015 08:16

raining even if you are not using the lumea for an extended period you have to charge it every so often otherwise the battery will fail. Think a few people have had this problem.

I just 'patch' tested mine yesterday on my entire right leg and all seems ok! I used it on 3 and 4 and both were fine.

Has anyone used this on their ahem, undercarriage?? would like to try it there but wondering if there have been any guinea pigs amongst us for that area Grin

SirVixofVixHall · 17/09/2015 09:08

I am very pale skinned, and although my hair isn't very dark, it is light brown, so darker than my skin - hopefully that should mean it works well? I think I'll go and have a look at the Phillips website. I get rashes now from shaving, I used to be able to do my legs in the bath every day with no problems, but as I've got older my skin has become more reactive so it would be great to not have to shave.

SirVixofVixHall · 17/09/2015 09:14

Does it hurt ? (Am wuss)

mowglik · 17/09/2015 23:46

It doesn't really hurt but on higher settings (for my olive skin anyway) it feels like a very very slight elastic ping..once you've done a few and got over that you largely ignore it
