Do you/should one wear a bra in bed?

I never have but mine are starting to hurt without the support. Is it normal to wear a bra in bed ?

I never used to, but was conscious of when we were away with friends and lounging in PJs that something was required. I just got a set of crop top type things which give some support are v comfortable and not too hot. My size and size on pack don't match but trying on meant that it was OK.

I don't wear an actual bra to bed but I wear one of these. Just that and pants as I don't like wearing much in bed! They are very soft and comfortable. I am a 32D so not big chested.

I never used to wear anything in bed until my boobs started hurting without support. I now wear PJ tops from Bravissimo, pricey but so comfortable and buy bottoms from the high street to cut down on cost.

I hate this ageing thing!

Wouldn't wearing a bra 24/7 inhibit lymph drainage?

I wear a vest top with "hidden support" - basically an integrated crop top. I find I can't sleep without any support though.

I have either the secret support type vest tops that M&S used to do but I know get them from Sainsburys or Debenhams or the same soft bra top under a tshirt that verenti linked to.

I started wearing them when I was pregnant 6 yrs ago and just find it more comfy to sleep with a little bit of support but I am an F cup.

I wear a non-wired bra in a slightly bigger size than I actually am. I started when I was pregnant and preferred it to going without so have stuck with it.

I have enormous boobs and have never slept in a bra. I couldn't. By the end of the day I'm desperate to take it off and have never felt any pain.

Actually that's a thought, I bet I have some comfy bras somewhere from when I was pregnant.

I have never worn a bra in bed but my boobs are now distinctly sagging due to age and the fact that I BF both DSs. They're not quite large enough though that they support themselves if I lie on my side, hence the pain.

I would be worried if this would cause health problems. I may be wrong though.
Would it be possible to support them with cushions?

Nooo!!! I can't have boobs so saggy that I have to support them with cushions!!

I wear soft crop tops marketed as sports bras that give as much support as a toothpick. Normally from H&M or Primarni. I find it stops the Miranda clap effect

I do, cos I'm breastfeeding and if I didn't have breast pads in then I'd wake up very wet . I've got a soft crop top type bra from Asda that was about £6 that might be enough support? It's very comfy!

I wear those sainsburys ones- very comfy and frequently in the sale.

At 12weeks pregnant I have just started to wear a bra in bed - it's just too painful flopping them around every time I turn over

I'm a G cup and I wear a stretch long vest to bed usually - surprisingly supportive. Certainly enough to sleep in.

"Nightwear" as such, with no support has never appealed to me or made sense. All those lovely floaty or silk nighties - all I can think about is my free range boobs being very uncomfortable in them.

So I wear stretchy vests - and PJ bottoms in the winter.

When BF I did sleep in ultra soft feeding bras on occasion. But I can't imagine its good for anything to be wearing a bra 24/7. My boobs really need a break.

wearing a bra, day or night, has absolutely NO health implications good or bad. Wear one if it makes you more comfortable. Don't if it doesn't.

It can't damage you health wise, unless it's ridiculously tight. I wear a soft crop bra from eBay, I have a few they're so cheap, and have had cancer so lymph nodes gone and I've never had any problems. I have quite large breasts and I don't feel comfortable wearing nothing, also if the door goes and I'm in my nightie I don't look like I'm soliciting! Breasts are just fat tissue, so they will sag without support.

specialsubject - I thought women who didn't wear bras had less incidences of breast cancer?

Bras increase breast cancer risk? surely not? We would have heard about that one and everyone would have switched to doing a Charlie Dimmock.
