I want to buy a cashmere wrap

But Im a cashmere newbie, I was given beautiful pink stripe socks recently but they went to holes after a few wears. So I want something beautiful, wearable, durable and not too expensive (up to £200.00) and most of all fantastic.
All suggestions gratefully considered

Look at Denner Cashmere. Their Big Knit Scarf is not the most durable but they're huge and soft, come in lots of colours and you could get more than one for your budget

Turtle doves cashmere is good too. made of recycled jumpers.

Where are you located?
There are some lovely cashmere shops in Covent Garden, TCG is one where I have bought from previously
I do believe it is best to look and see what you are buying for such a big outlay

They all look lovely, unfortunately for looking and feeling, I live in rural Scotland so its internet shopping for me, although the cashmere mills are quite close and they do sales, thats where the socks came from.
I was just a bit worried about the durability of pure cashmere if I'm spending so much money.

It doesn't really compare because presumably you've washed your socks which is why they're on their way out. A wrap won't need washing. I've never had any cashmere issues with jumpers but I don't wash them as much as I should.

I have a couple like the first link that are really handy but if it is just a large scarf you want, the zara scarves are great - not the best cashmere ever but comparable to my poncho type thing as per the fist link.

Thank you Petitdonkey thats exactly what I want, its mainly for cozying up in the house and garden. Im a bit short for the casually thrown over the shoulders look, I too do the natural disaster blanket look well, but I thought a classy cashmere job might make me feel less like that and more Im just cozied up in my cashmere cos its chilly in Scotland look.
Probably a forlorn hope, but there aren't many people around here anyway just sheep

goad - I have an ecru Zara scarf due for delivery tomorrow! Cant resist a big blanket type scarf - I use mine around the house if it's cold but also as a winter accessory. I often put one in a bag even for a summer bbq in the evening - someone will always covet the warmth.

OP as you're in Scotland you should be able to get some proper good quality Scottish cashmere at good price. I have had some lovely things from the Hawick Cashmere shop in, er, Hawick. Your socks went into holes because cashmere is so soft it rubs through quickly. This won't be a problem with a wrap.

Washing doesn't make cashmere go through like that - most cashmere likes being washed (gently, in cool water).

I suspect that nearer Christmas there will be more around in general shops.
