bra intervention for a pre-teen

went out with dd1 today, she wants a real bra. She is a well developed age 10

I measured her before we went. She is 27 inches under neath and 29 inches at the widest point.

Her book on puberty has a how to measure yourself for a bra section. Before I gave it to her I had crossed out the 'add 5 inches' stuff and written in 'measurement 28 inches = 28 inch bra' She was happy with that. But I don't know how to calculate cup size. The book said that 2 inch different = C cup.

So we tried on different sizes. The only one that fitted nicely was a 28C, but it was underwired and the assistant said she shouldn't have an underwire (and I really don't thing she should have an underwired) but it was the only 28C in the shop and nowhere else seems to have them.

So what size should she be in?

The only thing I'd say against an underwire at her age is that they definatly seem to enhance your shape. If your Dd is one of the earlier developers in her class at school she nay not like that.

OP - PM me your address (or if you don't trust the site at the moment PM me your email) & I will send you these to try.

Oh thank you balletgirlmum.

When we tried on the ones in M&S she put her T shirt back on and was tickled pink by how she now had shape. She is going into year 6 and is actually quietly a bit excited by growing up, last year in primary etc.

I would go back and buy the underwired one for starters!
