Gimic or game changer?

have a long bob at the moment and have just started using tongs to make it go curly but it's a bit of a faff and it's frying the ends.

i love mine, best thing ever imo

FairyBiker · 30/08/2015 20:54

Do you? How often do you use it? Do the curls last all day?

Love it. I have dead straight hair so I always make sure I have products applied to the hair before (boots mousse and Umberto Giannini heat protective spray). That way the curls stay until end of the day. I don't use it often - maybe once a week? I struggle to get out of the house in the morning during the week!

Use it ALL the time!! Best invention since the light bulb IMO!!

Gusthetheatrecat · 30/08/2015 21:38

Does anyone own one who has really thick hair? I can't quite imagine using it on my hair, which is just below shoulder length and v thick. Wouldn't it take aeons?

Karcheer · 30/08/2015 21:57

My hair is long (boob length) would it still work?

simplysarcastic · 30/08/2015 22:18

Best invention EVER. Just had a long bob cut from having reasonably long hair, it works fabulous on either length

burnishedsilver · 30/08/2015 22:51

I was really disappointed with mine. I rarely use it. It takes too long to go through my whole head one thin piece at a time. I find it difficult to do the back of my head. It gives a good curl but it doesn't give any kind of root lift. I prefer heated rollers.

CantSee4Looking · 30/08/2015 23:03

would it cope with very long hair?

GinBunny · 30/08/2015 23:05

I have one too and have never used it, but I am having a hairdresser come round to curl my hair soon so will be making notes!

burnishedsilver · 30/08/2015 23:09

On very long hair you can either take tiny strands or curl only the ends of the hair. There's a limit to how much hair the barrel can take.

I'm convinced. Boots has triple points on so it should load about £15 of points onto my card if I get it there.

Little but excited Grin
