I'm not at all a follower of fashion and usually stick to jeans and trousers. Inspired by another thread I have decided to try a few different looks this season. I was browsing skirts online and came across this. www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_51891+CWJ1078+A_-1
Please tell me this isn't a good look. If it is I'm definately sticking to trousers. To be honest I had to look twice as i wasnt sure wether the legs even belonged to a female.

Haha it is a walking skirt by the looks of it....

bluebrightbluesaturday · 29/08/2015 20:47

Ha ha how amazing. I love a skirt so was sure I'd find something I liked about the look...but no

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 29/08/2015 21:19

that is the clothing interpretation of cement.

Squooshed · 29/08/2015 22:01

Looks like the bottom half of a no nonsense games mistress from 1934.

Not a look I aspire to emulate. I'm sure she'd be great in a crisis though!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 29/08/2015 22:10

It's Craghoppers, they make technical walking clothing!

Not sure it's a look I'll be copying on my walks but I don't win any style awards with my walking usual attire of stretchy, technical, quick dry trousers eitherGrin

lavendersun · 29/08/2015 22:24

I would wear it Grin. Seriously, I have a couple of Royal Robbins skirts of a similar style, great for walking/camping holidays.

Not sure style or beauty comes into it though - nosilife is their impregnated insect repellent I believe.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 29/08/2015 22:26

Good heavens. it's ghastly!Grin
And putting those shoes and socks with them, well is making me very uneasy.

Pickedmypoison · 29/08/2015 22:33

The bandy legs don't help.

lavendersun · 29/08/2015 22:45

But, I do wear my similar skirts with socks and walking boots Grin, think Akela from the 60s - great for hill walking in the summer! am seriously an Akela in training Blush.

Guess you have to be massively outdoorsy to appreciate it!

AlisonWunderland · 29/08/2015 22:51

Although you can't see her face, you just know that the model is rolling her eyes

lavendersun · 29/08/2015 22:53

I think the problem stems from it being sold outside an outdoor shop - most people who shop in them wouldn't bat an eyelid!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 29/08/2015 23:02

Yeah you can just picture her through gritted teeth saying WTF have you cunts got me dressed in.Grin

MuseumOfHam · 29/08/2015 23:06

It looks like her knees are looking at each other and going 'what...the...hell?'

Squooshed · 29/08/2015 23:09

This is the top half of the photo.
