Can I get a refund?

Not sure if I'm in the right place for this query but...I bought a T-shirt a few weeks back, washed it for the first time and followed the washing instructions like I always do, and it's come out all misshapen and with a small hole in the front. It's only H&M so wasn't at all expensive, but I really liked it and want to take it back. Problem is...haven't got a receipt, so would I just be wasting my time?

I bought a few tops from h&m that got damaged in the wash. I emailed them with pictures and they said to either take the tops back into store or send them back. I got a refund, plus 20% off and a £5 voucher for my next purchase. Worth a try!

You don't need a receipt to return a faulty item. I know some shops are a awkward about these things, insisting on returning an item for a "fabric check" at head office (Hobbs and Jigsaw for example, great customer service, not), but I've never known H&M to be like that, they are too big and busy.

They'll most likely offer you an exchange first though, so if you really like it, might be worth locating it in the store first before going to the till so you're ready to accept, seeing as you like it.
