I'm looking at the winter clothes I have over the next few days and will be doing a big cull. I have a young toddler so between pregnancy and post preg figure it will be two years since some of these clothes have seen the light of day. I haven't got a clue what's in or out (especially for an apple).

Please can you give me your opinions on what's in or out (fashion wise/keep or get rid of). Thanks in advance!

A) Long Jumpers / Jumper Dresses (with floppy polo necks)
B) Leggings (usually worn with above)
C) Just above knee very slightly a-line skirts
D) Denim straight skirts
E) Boden prints / appliqué tops and velvet skirts
F) Chiffon blouses with floral prints
G) Straight legged jeans (including coloured jeans of dark green, royal blue and burgundy)
H) Waterfall cardigans (hmm)

I would say the waterfall cardigans could possibly go. Rest sounds lovely.

MamaLazarou · 29/08/2015 15:58

No to leggings! Down with this sort of thing.

Thanks so far Rick and Mama

Has anyone else got an opinion on the list?

I loathe waterfall cardigans and have rarely seen them look good on anyone so would recycle those.

Coastingit · 30/08/2015 11:38

I would personally only wear F. But that's meaningless - you need to look at what you wear and like!

FluffyCubs · 30/08/2015 17:29

Bin the leggings unless you wear them secretly under long skirts...and waterfalls....Bin those

RugbyWidow7 · 30/08/2015 20:03

I would say bin e) & f)
I have recently bought a lovely waterfall cardigan which I love! Grin

RugbyWidow7 · 30/08/2015 20:05

Also bin g)

amarmai · 30/08/2015 20:13

could never bin my leggings- go with dresses, tunics, above knee skirts etc.

ChristineDePisan · 30/08/2015 20:16

I would say e) have probably had their day - but if it's a cold winter they will be very useful, and if you still like them then why not?

fiorentina · 30/08/2015 20:24

Leggings are awful in my opinion. I think you could accessorise all the above and bring them up to date? Maybe waterfall cardigans less so, but perhaps style for a 70s vibe?

UrbaneFox · 30/08/2015 22:51

No to the leggings and the waterfall cardigans (always hated them).

Hard to say what to do with the straight legged jeans. I'm not tired of coloured jeans yet. And a slight boot cut is back in now, so I wouldn't throw out the straight cut coloured jeans.

What are you thinking of buying? What shops? If you're tall, flared jeans, with a plain mustard peasant top (saw that in next of all places and thought it looked good but I'm not tall).

burnishedsilver · 30/08/2015 23:13

Surprisingly, I've noticed quite a few waterfall cardigans in the new AW arrivals.

frikadela01 · 31/08/2015 22:31

I wouldn't be without my leggings and love a waterfall cardigan but then I really don't follow fashion that much. I suggest you decide whether you look and feel good and go by that rather than what's in or out of fashion.
