Comfortable heels to wear with dress?

Kazzawazzawo0 · 28/08/2015 18:44

I don't wear heels often, because my feet always hurt in them. However I'm invited to a wedding at the end of October and need some new footwear!

Can anyone recommend reasonably comfortable heels to wear with this dress - preferably black, could be sandals, not too expensive or could even be from Ebay?

I'm size 14, shoe size 6 and have quite long legs.

Wow op that dress is very booby!! Grin

That is on risky (or even risqué!) dress for a wedding. I do hope you have something to cover up with?

I have no idea on the shoe front!

NotTodaySatan · 28/08/2015 19:04

You're wearing that. To a WEDDING?

Um. These?

I was planning on shortening the straps so it isn't as revealing, but haven't 100% decided on the dress yet really.

So .. Comfortable heel recommendations anyone?

cannot recommend geox highly enough, not just trainers!

PetiteBateau · 28/08/2015 20:08

Clarks do some lovely comfortable heels imo

SellFridges · 28/08/2015 20:14

That dress is not appropriate for a wedding. I would find something less revealing.

these are great shoes - I have them in cream. They'd look great with a black midi dress. Just one with slightly less cleavage.

If your budget stretches to it, LK Bennett do the most comfortable high heels I've worn. Clarks is great for comfort too but they styles are a bit safer.

PurpleDaisies · 28/08/2015 20:16

Their not they styles.

HermioneWeasley · 28/08/2015 20:22

Mmmm, with that dress you are going to have to commit. No sensible, comfortable midi heels for you, you need killer stilletoes.

PetiteBateau · 28/08/2015 20:24

Yeah that dress would not work with clarks heels

Whatthefoxgoingon · 28/08/2015 21:01

That dress won't work with anything but a Bond movie...

maybemyrtle · 28/08/2015 21:49

Put your claws away, ladies...

OP I'm sure as you know what the dress you've picked looks like on you, how you'll style it and the people who are getting married, you've made the right dress choice.

Back to the shoes - new look are worth trying, I've found their heels to be pretty good in the past. Also hennes are good if you're on a budget and fit their sizes (annoyingly I'm between 4 and 5 with them). I can totally recommend Clark's AristaAbe for comfort but they are not especially fashion forward. Shoes are so individual though aren't they.

Kazzawazzawo0 · 28/08/2015 23:03

The dress isn't that low cut on me!

Anyone like to suggest a dress then? I'm rubbish at dresses. I was looking for something that suited me. I can't wear high necks as I have 34g size chest! I can't wear anything waisted, as it doesn't suit me. I tend to wear grey, dark turquoise, khaki, darkish red, darkish blue ..

Any suggestions welcome!
