Broken veins on nose- laser removal or alternative?

AlisonWunderland · 28/08/2015 10:13

I have a few broken veins of my nose, most are fairly small and not that noticeable. They disappear under a light foundation

However I have a little cluster right on the bridge of my nose which have merged to make a noticeable red blob which runs into a couple of big freckles. It takes medical grade concealer to cover them up, and I'm not a heavy make up kind of woman.

It there any way to get rid of them, and who should (or shouldn't) I consult?

(I tried photos but they are too close up and blurry)

I had this laser not IPL works beautifully
Skin clinics are good or a dermatologist
Don't wear much make up now at all so is great
I had one session but two would have completely cleared them all. I would say it worked about 80 percent
Down time was quite long though - probably 1 week before I could cover with concealer and another two to go completely
I really recommend.

Thanks Kennington
What's IPL?

May I ask, was it expensive?

I saw a cosmetic surgeon about mine last week. He recommended laser but it is £££ and I only have a few veins. So we are going to try zapping them with a diathermy needle for £150

I trust him and use him for other things and he is BAAPS

Sorry awful post! I meant NOT IPL use laser instead.
SKiN clinics are fairly reasonable around 100 quid and are all over the country. I paid more because I used a doctor but as long as it is laser then it will be the same thing.

Was it all crusty afterwards?

Yes and black and purple bruises
Boss wasn't impressed!

I had mine done with IPL and just got a bit of redness.
No bruising .

I had pulsed dye laser for this. It completely fixed the broken veins on my nose. It did leave very obvious bruising for about 10 days, and a slight red mark for a couple of months. But 3 years later and the veins still haven't returned, so overall it was worth it (just don't do it before a big event!).

I had s tiny one on my nose.

One session of laser was enough. Cost about £30 at a beauty salon.

Was only small hence only one treatment necessary.

This was about 6 years ago.

Thanks all.
So a few different options.

Just a question of timing so after effects don't matter.
