It all looks so lovely! I went a bit mad this time last year on Ines for Uniqlo but never regretted it - the clothes are really good quality and perfect for boring classic dressers like me. They all had something quirky like the red embroidered buttonhole detail that made them look more expensive than they were - some label-loving tosser in a pub asked me if my Ines coat was Hugo Boss! . Anyway. Love Ines. What do you think?

I love it. It looks really stylish. Not sure it would look as good on me though!

MorrisZapp · 27/08/2015 22:34

Oh Wow! What a gorgeous collection. The Aran button up cardie is adorable. Love the jackets too but not sure I'd carry them off like the models do.

Will raid uniqlo at Christmas when I'm in London.

burnishedsilver · 27/08/2015 22:41

Hmmmm. I'm not sure. My first impression is that its a bit Allo Allo.

shins · 27/08/2015 22:46

Grin Allo Allo, heh! I think it's just styled that way with the hair and the berets rather than the clothes themselves being intrinsically Allo Allo. It's always a struggle figuring out what the clothes would look like on me, those models are so bloody tall. I don't mind models being young and pretty - we all get our chance at that - but we don't get our chance at being six feet! I can understand the giraffe syndrome for the catwalk but not on catalogues for high street clothing. Grr.

Yeah, you're right. I just had a look at the line up showing the individual items. There are some lovely things. It's the styling that put that line "now listen very carefully...." into my head.

SeaRabbit · 28/08/2015 07:29

Looks like there is some nice knitwear. Does anyone know which (if any) Uniqlo London shops will stock it as the big Oxford Street shop near John Lewis is closed atm?

StitchandBitch · 28/08/2015 07:39

Love the knits not sure about the berets though. Will they be available online? Don't have a uniqlo here unfortunately...

shins · 28/08/2015 08:04

Yes. No uniqlo here either so I only buy online. Their delivery is super fast!

I like the Inès line too. I have a few things earmarked! Have you seen the Lemaire collaboration? Looks good too.

SeaRabbit · 28/08/2015 08:49

Gosh it does.

Uniqlo is so wonderful. Two of my favourite pieces of clothing came from the Jil Sander collaboration, and I am also very fond of my Inès pieces. I have my eye on the green cashmere jumper and cardigan in this collection.

MairzyDoats · 28/08/2015 08:54

Love the jackets and the Chester coat, I definitely want to try that on! I'm not sure about the gathered skirts though, they look lovely on those willowy models but I think they'd look dreadful on anyone over 25 and under 5'8.. .but maybe I'm just jealous.

libertydoddle · 28/08/2015 08:56

Oh the Lemaire stuff looks great. I am eyeing up some of the Ines too. Uniqlo is great, I have lots of bits and pieces from them. Great basics that wash and wear well.

Lottapianos · 28/08/2015 09:08

Wow, some lovely stuff there. Yes, the styling is a bit 'Allo 'Allo Grin I love the burgundy cord jacket and the aran jumper - might be having those two!

GeorginaWorsley · 28/08/2015 14:33

I like it but my first thought was Allo Allo too!Grin

HermioneWeasley · 28/08/2015 15:58

I like everything. Doubt it will look like that one me though.....

CaoNiMao · 29/08/2015 04:01

Ahhh - her stuff is so lovely. I've bought things from every range she's done for Uniqlo and loved everything.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/08/2015 14:58

Ooh love the long Chester coat and the short sleeved cashmere jumper.

I need to take a trip to London within the next couple of weeks but I'm guessing these will sell out.
The Regent St store is still open I think? (Hopefully)

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 30/08/2015 15:10

Love the cord jackets. Used to wear them or similar suede ones early-mid 2000's and haven't seen any for ages. Love them!

HappyGirlNow · 30/08/2015 15:43

Possibly some individual items are ok but I just can't take it seriously looking at that.. Sorry... Not keen and not what I imagined as I opened the link..

SeaRabbit · 30/08/2015 16:34

Does Regent St normally stock Inès's things?

CointreauVersial · 30/08/2015 16:55

There's another Uniqlo at the other end of Oxford Street (Tottenham Court Road end) which was still open last week. Don't know what they stock, though.

libertydoddle · 30/08/2015 17:18

I take your point happygirlnow. I think most people would look ridiculous if they wore it as styled in the look book - I'd look like a fat peasant!!

But I think the individual pieces will work really well styled in a more contemporary way. I love the cord jackets for example but I'd wear them with jeans and plain sweater. And the Chester coat would look great for work with black cigarette trousers and a silk shirt etc. The short sleeve cashmere sweater looks like a great work basic.

SeaRabbit · 03/09/2015 13:25

So... Who's bought what? I ordered just after 11.00 last night - the green twinset, and a couple of long sleeved t shirts.

shins · 03/09/2015 13:50

I ordered a cable crew neck in off-white, a wool blended check skirt in navy, a long sleeve flannel dress in off-white, a stripy shirt and a fedora hat(!) - I expect to keep one or two things.

Agreed on the styling, I'd look ridiculous in a Scandi-style sweater with a tweed jacket tied across the waist with a skinny belt, being neither 20 years old nor six feet tall! But they are all lovely things in their own right.

Aaarrrggghhh I didn't know it was going live last night. I sort of wanted a fair Isle, and maybe a cord jacket. But missed it and now they're sold out. This happened last year with her denim shirts. Sad

Hmm, maybe a patterned flannel shirt?
