Project Bus Driver to Lady Anyone?

Hi. I need help from you stylish mners. I have a very posh wedding ( invited to the full day ) coming up.
Here's my issue. I'm a shorn headed bus driver. Help! I want a dress but have no clue where to start! I am around size 12, 32jj norks, small waist so dresses are a nightmare and I don't usually bother. Can anyone help me not look like a man in drag? What do you normally wear out of work?

Combats, jeans, hiking boots and t shirts. I have a lot of ink as well which I fear ruins the look of feminine clothes

Thanks. It's more not knowing how to dress my body I think! I never thought about making something so feminine work for me. I thought I had to stick to alternative or I'd look mismatched? I do love the shimmer and shape of the dress. Better get some self tanner on my never seen daylight pale legs
